This is a small 10cm tall handcrafted from clay (ceramic) statue of Devana. Order it alone or in a combination with a Sun Post or a Stone Post.
’The Maiden’. She is a hunter of the forest who is much admired for her feisty femininity. A proud independent maiden, she very much does her own thing. Usually with a bow and arrow and accompanied by wolves.
Some scholars doubt her existence, but she enjoys great popularity regardless, from Poland to Serbia to Russia. She may even have visited Lithuania.
DEVANA, DZIEWANNA is also known in some places as a deity of Spring, a maiden cherished at the start of the agricultural year. Her decorated effigy is — or was — paraded with much singing and celebration by villagers when the weather turned sunny and spring was in the air. Something like that ought to be far more popular. Where have all the effigy-wavers gone?

With a Russian background, I am very happy to have this special piece. It is unique and adds a piece of my family to our house. If you order one of these pieces, know it will possibly take months to reach you. I did not need it quickly so it was not a problem for me
